For Army Sergeant Adam Hartswick, the recent 18th anniversary of 9/11 was an especially poignant one.
Adam, a former Army medic who suffered multiple injuries while serving in Afghanistan in spring 2013, recently moved into a customized Smart Home with some help from his friends at the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Winner Carpet One Floor & Home. Officials from both organizations, along with Adam’s family and friends, and local public safety officials gathered at his new home during its official dedication on September 11, 2019.
Mohawk provided flooring, including the gleaming hardwood that will allow Adam to navigate his wheelchair with ease, throughout the home, working closely with organization officials, designers, and Adam, himself. Winner Carpet One provided installation services and related materials.
